About Us

Founder Story & Three-City Team

Our Founding Story

We started Alot Design because we got tired of watching Hong Kong and international brands struggle to break into Vietnam and China — not because their products weren't good, but because the agencies they hired didn't understand the local platforms, the local culture, or the local timing.

Our founder built the first cross-border team in Ho Chi Minh City, then expanded to Shenzhen and Hong Kong. We didn't start with a pitch deck — we started with real campaigns, real results, and a growing list of clients who kept coming back because we actually got their jobs done.

Today we're not a "global agency with offices". We're three independent teams that meet weekly, share KPIs, and hold each other accountable. That's why our clients see real ROI — because their campaigns work in each market, not just one.

Our Vision

To be the only cross-border marketing agency that doesn't need an interpreter.

Our Mission

To help brilliant brands enter Vietnam, Hong Kong, and China without the usual cross-border chaos.

Three Cities. Three Teams. One Agency.

Ho Chi Minh City

Our VNM team runs on a Zalo group chat. We don't have separate WeChat and Discord channels — we have one Zalo, because that's what our team uses to order food, book motorbikes, and plan weekend trips. This means your Zalo campaigns are written by people who know the platform inside out, not by an agency translator.

Shenzhen

The Xiaohongshu and Douyin team lives and breathes these platforms. We know which KOCs actually shift stock in Futian versus which ones just take pretty photos and ghost after payment. We know theAlgorithm changes before they drop on tech blogs.

Hong Kong

The strategic hub. Our HK team knows both hemispheres — the surgical precision of Chinese digital commerce and the relationship-first nuance of Southeast Asian markets. They're the ones who read between the lines in your brief and translate it into something that actually works for each market.

How We Work

Most agencies use a "global team, local talent" model. What that means in practice: one account manager in Singapore, five freelancers scattered across Manila, Bangkok, and Jakarta, and you're expected to manage them all.

We use a "local team, shared vision" model. Each market has its own dedicated team, but we share KPIs, weekly calls, and a single Slack channel. Your Vietnam campaign gets the attention of your China specialist, and your Hong Kong strategist reads your Zalo copy before it goes out.

The Result?

  • Two weeks where one agency needs six
  • One quality standard across all markets
  • One person who picks up when you call at 9pm their time
  • Campaigns that feel local in every market, not翻译
